This Is Home
You wake up and the sky is grey
You’re asking why life gave you so much pain
But at least there’s no chance of rain, today
Everything goes wrong except
The people here you love that haven’t left
Got to remember there’s always a chance
Walking through the streets downtown
Taking in the sights and the sounds
Can’t believe how long you’ve been here now
Looking at the foundation
Seeing all of what we’ve created
I know that you wouldn’t trade it
For anything else
Because this is home
It’s what we’ve known
And you know you’re not alone
We’re living here
The here and now
And we’re all doing our part
Because this is home
This is home
