Day After Day
Day after day, I travel these hills.
Stark meadows in between,
I walk my way.
Independence strengthens,
Only to fulfill.
My identity,
Slowly as it lays.
I walk my way.
Colors stand out,
As I fade away.
With my built in gray,
I walk my way.
The many eyes
Whom compliment the sky.
Pay no attention,
As I walk my way.
Euphoric rain,
Tears from up high.
It’s what I say goes,
Not you.
Welcome to my world,
Now I’m through…
Sometimes I struggle finding my place in the world. When I am walking, it aids my search for who I am. With graduation nearing, I am in a battle of independence and dependence with my family.
